Chief Jerry Douglas
Chief
Jerry L. Douglas has been proudly serving the tribe since 1992, and has
held the position of Chief since January 2006. His history with the
tribe has been one of service to all tribal members. He has served as
Assistant Chief since 2002. During his many years he has served on the
Trust Board, Land Management Committee, Delaware Indian News Committee,
Tribal Operations Committee, Reinvestment Committee, Health Board and as
a Chelsea Boys & Girls Club Board Member. He has been a tribal
representative on the Grand Gateway Board and is currently serving on
the Education Committee, Economic Development Committee, and on the
Claremore Indian Hospital Board. He is also the president of Delaware
Enterprise Authority, the tribes newly formed authority to handle the
tribes businesses which will provide a stable environment to promote
business growth. His dedication to the tribe and its members is evident.
Chief Douglas is the
son of the late Bertha (Ketchum) Douglas and grandson of John Redmond
Ketchum. He grew up around the Winganon and Chelsea areas and currently
resides in Bartlesville. He has served his country and is a veteran of
the United States Air Force. He has one son, Jeremy Shane and two
grandsons of which he is very proud. He feels that we should leave a
strong legacy to the children, as they are the future of our tribe and
take care of our elders as they are the history keepers from which the
children can learn of our ancestors.
Chief Douglas is a
retired computer programmer. He attended Tulsa Junior College and the
Oklahoma School of Accounting.

Assistant Chief Wayne Stull
Assistant
Chief Wayne Stull has been serving the tribe since 2002 when he was
asked to fill a vacated seat on the Trust Board. He was re-elected to
that position in 2005 and has been serving as a Tribal Council member
since 2003. He serves as Chair of the Economic Development Committee,
Chair of the Delaware Enterprise Corporation, Assistant Chair of the
Delaware Enterprise Authority. He has also served as a member of the
Health Board and Personnel Committees. He believes that the tribe needs
to have a strong and stable platform for business enterprise and growth
so that a strong legacy can be left to our tribes young and care given
to our elder tribal members.
He is a successful
business man, owning several smoke shops, mail order and ebay
businesses. He is a veteran as he served in the Army Reserves. He grew
up in the Bartlesville-Dewey area and has lived here most of his life.
He has been married to his wife Joyce for over 35 years and has one
stepson, Mark and one granddaughter. He is the son of A. E. “Gene” &
Bonita (Winn) Stull, and the grandson of Clem Winn.
He has attended OSU and
NSU. As a businessman he is a member of the North East Oklahoma Better
Business Bureau, Native American Chamber of Commerce, Vice President of
the Tobacco Retailers Alliance of Oklahoma and the National Association
of Tobacco Outlets. Wayne has been a longtime advocate of Native
American Rights and Tribal Sovereignty.

The leadership of the
tribe is one of Honesty and Integrity. They are available to all tribal
members and welcome ideas and suggestions. They feel that all tribal
members are important and valuable, regardless of where they live. They
are striving to bring growth and prosperity back to our great tribe.
Trust Board Chairman Raymond
M. Cline
Trust Board Chairman,
Raymond M. Cline has served the tribe for over 18 years both as a
volunteer and as an elected official all the while having the best
interests of the tribe and its members in his heart. Over the years he
has not only served the tribe but the community as well. He is the President of the Nowata County Historical Society, Museum and Glass
Mansion (a private house Museum); Chairman of the Nowata Educational
Endowment Foundation; Chairman of the Nowata Chamber Industrial
Foundation; Museum for the Shenandoah Valley. He was awarded the Chamber
Business Man of the Year in 1993 and was honored by Tribal Resolution
and Chief Lewis Ketchum in 1993 for his work and dedication to the
Delaware Tribe. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the City
County Library Committee. As Chairman of the Industrial Foundation he
was instrumental in acquiring the location for the new Cherokee Nation
Nowata Indian Clinic which provides medical services to our Delaware
Tribal members. He has been a steward of the safekeeping of the
trust-funds, during the years under his watch the Trust Board has always
received a clean audit of the funds. This has been of great importance
to him, as this is was the funding set aside for the future of our tribe
by those that came before us. He proudly served our
country and was in the Army from 1970 to 1972 and then with the Oklahoma
National Guard for several years.
Raymond is the son of
Shirley M (Secondine) Hutton and the late James R (Bob) Hutton and the
late Michael N Cline. The grandson of Charles & Minnie (Parker)
Secondine and Ben & Dora C (Sanders) Cline. He has one brother Eddie L
Cline, a half sister Kathy A (Cline) Parrett and a half brother Harold D
Cline. He is extremely proud of his Delaware heritage.
He realizes that the
Trust Board and the Tribal Council must work together towards the goals
set for them and proudly serves the tribe as a Tribal Council member. He
feels that the restoration of our federal recognition is of the greatest
importance, as well as the efforts to complete our economic development
projects so that we can provide services, jobs and education to our
tribal members regardless of where they live.
